What an emotional and tumultuous year 2020 has been!
To differing extents, we have all been affected by high levels of stress, illness, and loss. Some have lost loved ones. Some are still battling to recover from the virus. And others are dealing with significant financial challenges brought on by COVID or our political leaders who are preventing them from earning a living. We ALL are suffering from feelings of isolation, the result of social distancing and not being able to hug and be with our friends and extended families.
Humans are social animals and COVID has taken its toll on our collective psyche. This year it is more important than ever that each and every one of us find something in our lives to be thankful for. Some of you will choose to celebrate a subdued Thanksgiving; others feel strongly about maintaining their tradition of celebrating with extended family. The choice is yours alone to make.
However you choose to celebrate, find those things in your life to be thankful for. Choose not to live in fear. Be comforted and lifted by the fact that there are many who love and care about you. Even when separated by distance, family and friends are there for you. Focus on the positive.
From my family to yours, we wish you peace, health, and comfort. May your holiday season be joyful. And may your Thanksgiving be Happy and Blessed.
